From Charred to Charmed

Avoiding November Burnout

The days are getting shorter, the weather is growing colder, and the cozy vibes of winter are just around the corner.

And it's time to address the elephant in the room: burnout.

Amidst all this November-core, the hype of the holiday season is building up, work deadlines are piling high, and your stress levels are skyrocketing. It can leave you feeling like a charred marshmallow on top of a sweet potato casserole.

It’s really important to remember that you're not a turkey hoping for a pardon.

You're a human, and you deserve a moment to breathe.

Here’s how you’re gonna do it:

🍂 Carve That Bird: Take a look at your to-do list and ruthlessly prioritize.  Remember, if it’s not a HELL YES, it’s a NO. Decline extra commitments, virtual parties, and non-essential meetings.  Take a cue from Mother Nature and let those leaves fall.

🌦️ Rainy Day Bliss: Instead of dreading the gray skies and drizzle, let them be your excuse to disconnect from the outside world. Curl up with a book, take a nature walk, or just sit in the stillness with the raindrops as your soundtrack.  Additional serotonin bumps available if cozy snuggles happen with a pet (it’s science.)

🚀 Give Thanks: Make a list of the 20 things you’re grateful for this year. Focus on the little things that make you smile (like a new lipstick or discovering that bakery with the penguin-shaped cupcakes) and the big things (crushing that work project, climbing out of a mental health downswing, or finally affording to take a vacation).  Big or small, it’s reflecting on the things that happen just for you that rejuvenates your soul the most.

November burnout might show up unannounced, but we're not letting it in. Embrace the chaos, keep it cozy, and remember that burnout is no match for your uproariousness.

Go ahead, casually savor your seasonally-spiced latte; you've got this!
